Cu o voce profundă și un timbru absolut inconfundabil, Ioana trăiește cu desăvârșire muzica pe care o compune și interpretează.
Copilăria petrecută în Corabia, orășelul port de pe malul stâng al Dunării, i-a fost presărată cu ritmuri folclorice, hore, sârbe și un repertoriu larg de cântece vechi de dragoste și de dor, pe care le-a învățat și prezentat cu măiestrie în competiții și la festivaluri naționale tematice.
Experiența foarte personală cu folclorul, autentic și local, a cultivat trăirile și simțirile pe care Ioana le-a adus cu ea atunci când ne-am îmbarcat împreună în această nouă călătorie de explorare muzicală.
„Mi-am descoperit dragostea pentru muzică încă de mică, însă pot spune că în ultimii ani am redescoperit și înțeles muzica la un alt nivel, iar cel mai mare impact l-au avut jam session-urile cu brigada. Muzica e cea mai frumoasă și pură formă de comunicare a oamenilor, cheia fiind libertatea de exprimare și creativitatea care provine din trăirea fiecăruia.” - Ioana Milculescu
Dintr-un mix de pasiune pură cu dorință de creație, aproape intuitiv, a ieșit proiectul „IOANA”, pe care îl prezentăm odată cu lansarea primei piese "drill".
Titlul, simplu și scurt, înglobează un ansamblu de sentimente pe care Ioana Milculescu, sub producția lui Bean MC, le transpune în sunete inovatoare și într-un tip aparte de muzică, capabilă să genereze emoție pură și, acustic, o experiență autentică și revelatoare.
